Buddy Lee dolls were made by
the D. H. Lee (jeans) Company Inc., a garment manufacturer in Kansas City, MO
USA, originally from 1920-1960.
They can be composition (1920-1948)
at 12 1/2" tall or hard plastic (1949-1960) dolls
at 13" tall, have molded hair, painted side glancing eyes,
closed mouth and were dressed in
original Lee clothes depicting various occupations. Dolls should be
marked on their back: Buddy Lee.

Some of the outfits are; Coca Cola
(white with red stripes), Football Player, Gas Station; Phillips 66,
John Deere outfit,
The Genuine Jiffy Steamer Co., Train Engineer, U.S. Army
Finance Corps. cowboy, and
there were surely others.
Clothing should have a Lee label
tag.
In the
1990's a reproduction
or re-introduced Buddy Lee doll (s) in the Coca Cola
uniform now in white with a green stripe, and probably other uniforms, too.
