Heinrich Handwerck Dolls - 1876-1932 GERMAN

Heinrich and Minna Handwerck dolls were produced near Waltershausen, Thuringia, Germany beginning in 1876 until they were purchased by Kämmer & Reinhardt in 1902, who continued to produce the Handwerck molds until at least 1932, between that time period they added "oHG" to the marking.  Their bisque doll heads were designed by Handwerck but produced by Simon & Halbig, and are of very fine and high quality workmanship which continued under the K & R ownership.

Heinrich Handwerck is probably best known for their dolly faced bisque head child dolls and babies, but they also produced some celluloid dolls, too.                           Here's some Heinrich Handwerck dolls we have found:

Some of the mold numbers or letters used to mark the Handwerck dolls are; 69, 79, 89, 99, 109, 119, 139, 189, W (on the forehead), Baby Cut, Bébé Cosmopolite, Bébé de Recalme, Bébé Superior, H, HANDWERCK, Hch H, HH,  HHW, HW, LaBelle, LaBonita and Lotti.
