Henri Alexandre Dolls 1889-1895

Henri Alexander dolls were made in Paris, France from 1889-1892 at which time they merged with the Tourrel Company, who both then merged with Jules Nicholas Steiner in 1895.

Alexandre is best known for designing the Phenix Bébé of which there were about thirty models. 

Henri Alexandre dolls were made of bisque heads on composition and wood jointed bodies, wigged, open or closed mouths, usually with pierced ears and are a high quality made doll.
