Sears Happi Time Dolls 1886 - 1993

Sears, Roebuck and Company (now known as "Sears") is a catalog company that began in 1886. We'll leave their entire history to other web sites and just stick to the dolls they have offered over the years.  It's unknown exactly when they began offering toys and dolls in their catalogs, but certainly as early as the 1920s and perhaps even earlier.  Sears used the trade name of "Happi Time" for their dolls and toy line, and is the name found on their boxes.  Since Sears did not manufacturer dolls, the dolls will bear the marking of the original manufacturer.  Unfortunately many of the original Sears ads do not state who the original doll manufacturer was.  Of course all these dolls would have been available though other sources as well.

Here's some dolls we have found, that would have been offered in Sears catalogs.
